Ranked List of Link Directories

by Mark E. Mason on December 23, 2008

Hello;

Just a short note to let you know that I have created a ranked list of link directories.  The list is updated weekly.

Link directories are a cheap and easy way to build back links to your websites.

Feel free to check it out and leave a comment here.

Thanks,
Mark

1106 web directories! You did an incredible job. You save your readers a hell lots of time.

Hi,

You have a great directory list, I was wondering could you please update as its from last year maybe the rankings have changed.

Regards

Tommy

Thanks Tommy -- My script broke. Will try to fix it ASAP. Thanks for pointing that out.

Hey Sean;

I am not sure of the context of that recommendation, but no, I don't agree. You should definitely try to get link authority distributed throughout your blog. However, domain home page links are just fine. After all, you should have target keywords for your home page.

Mark

articleshunter.com provide free article submission and free content for those interested.

Mark,

Very interesting list, you are providing a great service. What is your advice on manual submission to the top 5-10 sites? Is it worth the effort? Is there any possible Google backlash?

Deeplink says we should not link homepages. Do you agree ?

@Sean -- missed the comment about "is it worth it." Short answer is "only if that small number of links will help you beat the competition." If you are competing in a space where the #1 SERP has 33 backlinks, then YES. If you are competing in a space where the #1 SERP has thousands of backlinks, then NO.

Right now, the #1 site for "make money online" (no quotes) is a blogspot blog with 158,000,000 backlinks. Ten will not help you there.

Regards,
Mark

Excellent, Tom -- I hope you find it useful.

This made me realise you have an article directory list! That is so helpful for a new blog I am creating. Thanks!
