Work on Your Part Time Internet Business Every Day

by Mark Mason on August 12, 2010

Now, one of things that I do and one of the things that I think it is absolutely critical for part time internet marketers is that you need to work on your business every day. Habits that you form as a part time internet marketer are the most important tools that you’ll have in your business.

The first habit that you develop should be that you work on your business every day. Not a day goes by literally that you don’t do something on your business. Now, maybe you make an exception for Sunday, because of your religious preferences, but what I mean is there’s not a day that goes by where you go, “I just don’t feel like working on this today. I’m going to just watch Grey’s Anatomy instead.” You have to avoid that.

You need to make consistent progress and stay motivated. One day will turn into two days, and before you know it a week and a month will have gone by and your dream will be sitting on the couch with you watching the latest episode of Private Practice.

The other reason, and this sounds very much like a Tony Robbins thing, but I absolutely promise you this is true, if you keep the project that you’re working in front of you in your conscious mind you’re subconscious mind will offer you up solutions. This is where these ideas come from that people have in the shower and while they’re brushing their teeth.

Articles On Motivation Graphic

One good way to get motivated and accomplish your internet marketing goals is to find ways to become more efficient; and then to do them. For instance, let’s say that each day, you have to do content creation or social media promotion for your business.

If you find yourself doing this now, it might be a good idea to start keeping track of how long it takes you to do these routines. For instance, if it takes you 15 minutes to re-organize your work area at the end of the day, then time yourself to see if you can do it faster. Challenging yourself to do this will get you in the habit of thinking new ways to improve how you carry out these daily routines.
